All About Coffee
Spring 2010
SYPNOSIS
I wanted to break away from the traditional infographic and create an interactive design that a viewer would have to look through. I settled on creating a table top scattered with imagery and facts. The text is placed to subtly organize the information.
PROCESS
This project included a lot of vector work and coffee shop visits for reference.

Moulin Rouge
Summer 2010
SYPNOSIS
This is a digital collage I made to test my photography lighting skills. It was also the final project in my digital photography class.
PROCESS
I recreated the lighting of one of my favorite Henri de Toulouse-Latrec paintings At the Moulin Rouge, and photographed my beautiful friend Amanda, to composite this collage. Thanks Amanda!

Francis Fox
Spring 2010
SYPNOSIS
Francis Fox, a local sculptor and professor at Boise State, commissioned me to build his website and create his brand.
PROCESS
After reviewing several logo ideas, Francis and I settled on a simple and bold logo. We agreed that white, black, red were the most effective colors to represent his identity. We continued these colors on his website which contrasts nicely with his photographed work.

Genius Book
Fall 2010
SYPNOSIS
Genius is a conceptual class project, where the prompt was to take something precious in our lives and put it in a ‘vehicle’. I decided to take an aesthetics paper I wrote in philosophy, and make it more accessible and fun to read in a pop up book!
PROCESS
I did my best to shorten my twenty two page paper into a concise reading on what makes a genius. I even bought a few pop up books. Overall, one of the most difficult but rewarding projects to date.

Tunnel of Oppression
Fall 2011
SYPNOSIS
The Tunnel of Oppression was my first committee project, and I worked with the Multicultural Center at Boise State. The Tunnel of Oppression is an annual event held on campus where students go through a tunnel of reenactments depicting oppressive scenarios. The colors are always limited to black and white.
PROCESS
To capture the emotion of oppression, I made aggressive brush marks and evocative silhouettes to create a tunnel /grave-like form.

INPC promotions
Spring 2011
SYPNOSIS
These materials were designed for the 2011 Inland Northwest Philosophy Conference held by Boise State’s Philosophy Department. The department wanted something comic book inspired to move away from the traditional old faces often associated with philosophy. The conference title was Aristotelian Themes in Contemporary Metaphysics.
PROCESS
The department chair traced a picture of Aristotle’s bust in our first meeting, and I eventually carried his idea into the final branding mark.

SYPNOSIS
This material was designed for the Student Involvment and Leadership Center at Boise State University this spring. They enjoyed my previous Bronco Block Party design and requested a similar look.
PROCESS
I vectorized provided imagery and texturized the background in photoshop. I referenced old fair posters and signage to create the final shield.
